Shake off those winter cobwebs and experience a Sportzdating Adventure
Weekend! We're planning on a small group, whatever the mixture of
guys and girls it doesn't really matter (too much) - you'll have fun
and meet some great like minded adventure seekers!
As the bookings become confirmed we'll post a brief list describing
the crew as it unfolds.
e.g. Auckland gal 30, Welly guy 45 etc...

Make your way to Taupo and check into The brand
new Base Taupo- a purpose built luxury hostel with an ideal central
location and stunning Lake Taupo and mountain views.
You are just seconds from the lakefront and have transport, cafés
& shops on your doorstep. Base Taupo, is designed with the traveller
in mind, boasting an ideal location right in the centre of town,
superior facilities and comfy beds :-)
Welcome drinks will be @ Plateau (2 minutes from The Base) between
9-10pm. Plateau provides an excellent and authentic New Zealand
experience.
It is a contemporary, yet timeless space - as stylishly welcoming
as it is supremely functional. |
Saturday 01 November 08
8am: Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast
at THE BASE restaurant. Meet at the Sportzdating table. $10 full
breakfast special!
9:30am: You will be collected from The Base after
breakfast at 9.30 am and will head out for your White Water Adventure
with RAPID SENSATIONS.
A Grade 3 Raft on the Tongariro River including a cut lunch.
Expect an exhilarating day of river fun.
You'll be dropped back at The Base by 3.30 pm for a shower and a
change of clothes. |

5.00 pm: Enjoy an evening cocktail & dinner cruise
on Lake Taupo - your host is Chris Jolly’s OUTDOORS - charter launch.

Take a 5 min walk to the Chris Jolly's joining kiosk
on Lake front.
If you are still in an adventurous mood, a spot of fishing** or
clay bird shooting is on offer this evening also. Enjoy hot Hor
D’oeuvres provided complimentary by Wildside & Sportzdating.
Dinner is included while out on the lake - pay direct. Approx $25
per head plus drinks. Full bar onboard - no BYO.
**required to purchase a fishing licence @ $16 per person which
can be purchased on the boat. Clay bird shooting is $1.50 per shot.
Eftpos is available on the boat.

8:00am: Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast

9:15am: You will be collected by RAPID SENSATIONS

9:30am: Guided Mountain bike Ride (3 hrs) @ Craters
of the Moon - bikes provided. You will be delivered back to Taupo
in time for lunch at a really awesome cafe we have picked out.
You'll be dropped back at The Base where you can take a shower,
check out and make your way to the cafe for lunch!

1.00pm: Lunch at L’Arte, Acacia Bay
 |
Take a short drive to Acacia Bay (we'll give you
a map) where a lunch table will be booked for Sportzdating. A trip
to L'arte' is a visual and edible feast. L’Art is a fully
licensed cafe. Apart from there being mosaics everywhere (even in
the loo's) the art work will have you absorbed while you sip on
your supreme coffee and perhaps contemplate a piece of art that
might fit into your home or garden.
From supreme coffee to exotic daiquiris, there’s a drink
for your moment. Try the homemade smoothies using fresh fruits of
the season.

Whats included:
*2 nights accommodation
*6 hour white water rafting trip including lunch.
*4 hour dinner cruise on lake Taupo including hot Hor D’oeuvres
*3 hour guided mt bike ride.
Note: This adventure weekend has been organised by Sportzdating and WILDSIDE.
It's strictly speaking not a hosted event allowing you to mingle at will
- the Sportzdating crew will pop in from time to time but generally the
weekend is action packed and you'll be so darn busy that you won't have
time to talk with us!
What you need to bring:
*a sense of Adventure and lots of ‘Social Enthusiasm’
*swimwear & towel for rafting (ALL gear provided)
*bike helmet, gloves
*thermal wear and a rain jacket are advisable.

*Accommodation is ‘shared’ - if requiring a Single room -
additional payment of $25
Note: To run the adventure weekend we are seeking between 10 and 12 sportzdaters.
If you have booked and payed for the weekend and for some reason it is
unable to go ahead you will be refunded in full.
Participation in the adventure weekend is exclusive to Sportzdating members
(standard or premium).
Terms and Conditions:
*since all travel, accommodation, facilities and services arranged on
your behalf by Wildside are supplied directly by others, Wildside &
Sportzdating have no control over these services or facilities or the
manner of their provision. Wildside will however use its best endeavours
to ensure that each service, facility or manner of provision meets the
requirements we have specified.
*for the reasons listed above, Wildside and Sportzdating cannot accept
liability for loss of any kind arising from any act, omission or default
on the part of Service Providers. Nor held responsible if any particular
aspect of your weekend that does not meet your expectations.
*Any adventure activity has some measure of risk and all bookings are
therefore made on the condition that you will accept those risks and acknowledge
that neither Wildside, Sportzdating nor any of its employees shall be
liable in any way whatsoever for any injury, loss, damage or claim of
any kind, whether to person or property direct or consequential or compensatory,
no matter how the same is caused.
