Distance no barrier to Sportzdating love match
Jane and PeteWhen Jane and Pete met on Sportzdating a little over a year ago she lived in Christchurch and he was in Timaru.

Early on in the relationship they realized that distance would be no barrier to their love and adventurous lifestyle.

The two moved in together earlier this year and in Janes words "we have been blissfully happy ever since".

They recently celebrated their first year together with a trip to Thailand. Followed by a romantic skiing weekend at Lake Tekapo where Pete asked Jane to marry him! Says Jane "needless to say, I accepted!"

"Thanks sooo much to Sportzdating! I never thought it would actually lead to marriage, but there you go - what an unpredictable thing life is! Wedding plans are now in full swing....!"

Sportzdating wholeheartedly congratulates Jane and Pete and we wish them much success and happiness for the future.

Cass and OliverHuge congratulations to Cass and Neal and welcome to the very first sportzdating baby Oliver!

Oliver and NealHeres their story:

Well, here I am in the wee small hours, squeezing in this blurb about our new little fella Oliver as he drifts off for some more zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs after his feed. Its just 6 weeks ago that we delivered Oliver in to the world. Boy what a whirlwind of activity its been since then getting to know our gorgeous wee bloke, and enjoying all his changes. Its not much over a year ago that I met my wonderful man Neal through Sportzdating, and now here we are with our first child together. So just goes to show what gems life can throw your way when you open your heart and let love come in.

Cass Oliver and Neal
I am 41 years old by the way, and thought I had left it too late to meet a man and start a famly. To be honest I had given up on the idea of finding just the man for me, and even if I eventually did (always hoped), I would be too old to have children with him. And now, here I am, with a lovely lovely man who suits me so perfectly, and our gorgeous little fella. I am absolutely head over heels in love with both my blokes, and have never ever been this happy in my whole life. So thank you Sportzdating, for everything I wished for, and more.

All the best in love and life.

Sporty, try Sportzdating
After a fruitless search through the "normal" channels going out with non-sporty types that have no idea why you’d want to paddle your kayak or run in the hills I got a message from FloJo 35 to say ’Hi, how’s it going’. Thinking this was a message from the dead I was intrigued!

Instead of long painted fingernails and a quick 100m on the track it was instead a swimmer . Not being able to swim to save myself, I was at first uncertain we would have much in common. But after the first date we were inseparable. Training is training and I soon realised we had much in common, both at a work level and in sport. There is some distance between our homes, but to date we swap weekends at each others places and text in between times. I have even found new training areas near her home. FloJo 35 was talked into giving Sportsdating a go by her daughter.

Don’t wait to be prompted; this is a great way to meet like minded people. We speak in tongues when together; training schedules, intervals, heart rates, etc. FloJo35 has even offered to teach me to swim; many have tried no one has yet succeeded!

Not quite close enough at the Coast!
We had been told to look out for, and introduce ourselves to, each other at the Coast to Coast and we ended up with consecutive competitor numbers so were next to each other on the start line (is that fate or what?!!)

With only the chance for a few minutes conversation.. until my flatmate put my profile on Sportzdating and the system "matched" us that we started to regularly communicate with each other. Then, eventually, we overcame the geographical distance barrier (North Island and South Island) and actually got to "meet" properly, and my North Island holiday itinerary was dramatically changed! Eleven months after first meeting, and 5 months after re-meeting each other there is still the geography problem, but we are working on it!

Live less than 2k apart and met on sportzdating
So, it all began back one cold day at the start of August, we emailed each other day and night until eventually having both seen each others pictures decided to meet for coffee, that went well, we HAD to leave when they closed the coffee shop!!

Things went from strength to strength he even stood out in the freezing cold rain for 2.5 hours waiting for me to do a running event in those early days, and the way looked at the end didnt even scare him off, I knew then he was a keeper!! Since then we have spent many a sporting and even one non sporting weekend away.

We are moving in together in a few months and have a big overseas trip booked for next year.
Looking back while training for C2C may not have been the ideal time to meet the man of my dreams but i guess that goes to prove he is the man of my dreams as we have still managed to create a fantastic relationship.

We cant believe that we met each other, neither one of us really expected anything like this, the crazy thing is we live less than 2k away from each other, and it took a web site to bring us together, for that we are forever grateful.

First Christmas together
I met Pete about 3 months ago, and we have been happily seeing each other ever since, so, for us Sportzdating was a great success!

All is going very well, and we are looking forward to spending our first Christmas together (we have just bought a hobie-cat, so planning on getting lots of sailing in, along with mountain-biking, kayaking and just enjoying spending time together). On the relationship front things could not be better...I am going to be moving in with him at the beginning of next year, and although this will require a fair amount of commuting for work, we know it will be worth it!

Thanks!

Despite all odds Miss North meets Mr South
Here I am sitting in a bed on Ward 25 of the chemo ward worrying myself sick as the doctors were due to arrive to tell me if I could leave / be discharged today (today I had my big date/weekend with Richard(not his real name) from the South Island - he bought his ticket weeks ago) and so much depended on my blood test results and invariably they were a shocker and had to stay in an extra day. Or, my face was so swollen from all the chemo and felt so god awful there was no way I could leave. I had a swollen face, swollen eyelids and looked I had gone two rounds with Mike Tyson, and was thinking, poor Richard....

Chickabee meets her match
...I knew as I walked up to Neal to meet him for the first time even before I could clearly see how he looked, that I liked him. It was one of those "time slowed right down moments", as I walked towards him. Sorry guys, this might be a bit much for you. But its true!!! Coffee went on for hours.

No couch potatoes here!
Well I must say, it is great to have a site where there is the potential to meet like minded people, who are not couch potatoes!
This is the case with "Crusher". We have so much in common, it it great. We have done a bit of mountain biking together now, which has been excellent. As we are both into multi sport, we are now both training for the Kururau Krusher event, next year.
Although we live quite a distance apart, she comes to Auckland regularly, so we catch up then. I also now have an excuse to head south and to do some training on new terrain, which makes it totally non boring.

Cheers "Nikitoka".

Moonride moonlight rendezvous
Hi there,
This is the first time I have ever used an internet dating site - the thing that attracted me to it was that it was a great way to meet like minded people. Within a week of it being launched I struck gold in the form of mtnboy71. Have been emailing, phoning and met a great guy from Australia (yeah he falsely advertised himself saying that he was from Hamilton (which he is originally) but at the moment living in Australia). The funny thing was that I was not going to look outside of Hamilton as I did not see the point in having a long distance relationship. Anyway we have been emailing and phoning since January and we met up while he was over for the 24hr Moonride. I am counting down the days until setting off to Aussie where we will catch up again and from there who knows where this will go …but so far I have been over the moon with this online type of shopping for a male!! No complaints to Fair Go or to Consumer from me.

Thanks for a great website.
Hope others have as such success as me.

The truth about Bunnies and Dogs
Once upon a cybertime, on Sportzdating many gigabytes away lived a very handsome sports-mad Prince by the name of ZenDog. Over many miles of land he mountain biked, cycled and ran. Over the seven seas he kayaked, sailed and swam, looking for his one true love to share his life (and to wash his mountain bike)...

Weary (and wary) from his fruitless search, the prince sat down in the forest one day when some rustling of the bushes caught his attention ... lo and behold, out of the bush appeared the Energizerbunny. A shy smile and a mischevious wiggle of her cute bushy tail sent ZenDog into a spin. Still in a daze, the prince followed the bunny, over a hill and into the next dale. The sun was shining and brook babbling, perfect conditions for a hoppity game. Spellbound as if by magic, the pair played lots of sports, constantly joking and giggling with glee. As the sun dropped below the horizon, a gentle kiss was heard ...

These days, ZenDogs kayak can be seen hanging above Bunnys burrow and a few carrot sticks can be found strapped to ZenDogs bikes..Happy is this couple who have found in one another the the joy and harmony of their compatibility in the matters of the mind, heart ... and sole!

To Jen, Steve and the rest of the Sportzdating team, you can now sign off on yet another successful chapter of good sports finding good sorts - We thank you lots and lots!

Pina Colada!
Hey guys, just thought we’d drop you a line and let you know that your website works.

We had a big fight and break-up over summer. A couple of weeks ago we each went on a ‘sportzdate’ with a hot person we met on the website (who seemed awfully familiar but sounded great).

Anyway we are happily back together because we saw each other in a fresh perspective.

So the upshot is we now have to delete our profiles,

Thanks very much from missfit and jamesbond007
