Simple Tips for Staying Cool this Summer

- Exercise in the early morning or cool of evening
- Remember that hot weather can get people fired up, so don't take things too personally
- Take a break from work every so often – focus is good, obsession is not
- Ease off the spicy, oily and fatty food
- Go for lots of fresh salads and avocado
- Cut out red meat – it's heating and heavy on the digestion
- Try eating some light, cooling dishes, such as sweet corn, quinoa or barley
- Don't overdo the alcohol - it ain't called firewater for nothing
- Sip a cool glass of water with a squeeze of fresh lime juice throughout the day
